I'm interested in learning about CPR and AED use but do not need a completion card. What are my options?
We offer the American Heart Association's Family and Friends course which covers CPR, AED use, and choking first aid. This one-and-a-half hour course is available for group offerings (4+ people). Contact us for course delivery at your organization.
I am interested in CPR training. Which course should I take?
The Basic Life Support (BLS) version is intended for individuals with previous medical experience. Nursing students, EMTs, and other medical professionals are often required to maintain this certification level. Heartsaver is for individuals with little to no medical experience and can include First Aid in addition to CPR and AED use. The Family and Friends version is for individuals who do not need a completion card but still want to learn the basics of CPR and AED use.
Are hybrid or virtual options for CPR training available?
Yes, both hybrid and virtual training options are available. However, you must be monitored by an AHA Instructor in real-time for the skills verification. Contact us to learn more.

Is there a minimum age for the Basic Life Support class?
The American Heart Association (herein after referred to as AHA) has not set a minimum age; however, each student must pass a written exam at the end of each class. Therefore, it is recommended that students for this specific class are age 11 or older.

Which Heartsaver courses are offered?
There are several versions of the Heartsaver course available based on your training needs, whether First Aid CPR AED, First Aid, CPR AED, or Pediatric First Aid CPR AED.
